The Riverina Area Consultative Committee (RACC) is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of
Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government and is one of 54 Area Consultative Committees
throughout Australia .
The ACC network is currently in the process of transitioning to the newly formed Regional Development Australia (RDA).
The official start date for Regional Development Australia will be the 1st January 2009. The Riverina Area Consultative
Committee (RACC) will now be referred to as Regional Development Australia– Riverina (RDA-Riverina). For further

The RDA-Riverina :-

Is a non-profit organisation managed by a voluntary committee and supported by three paid staff.

Encompasses the 18 Local Government areas (LGAs) of: Bland, Boorowa, Carrathool, Coolamon, Cootamundra, Griffith ,
Gundagai, Harden, Hay, Junee, Leeton, Lockhart, Murrumbidgee , Narrandera, Temora, Tumut, Wagga Wagga and Young.

Assists in the development of projects, grant writing process and also promotes various government programs and
funding opportunities to communities.

Builds community capacity by connecting people and holding workshops/ seminars.

Works in partnership with many organisations in the region, including NSW government agencies, regional bodies,
local governments, business and community groups.

Supports and is involved in projects that can assist regional development.
